HandsOn Southeast Georgia

HandsOn SEGA LogoHandsOn Southeast Georgia (SEGA) is a volunteer connector organization and Community Centered initiative whereby its mission “coordinates resources to enable civic action, create positive social change and enhance the vitality” of Southeast Georgia.

HandsOn SEGA brings people together to strengthen communities through meaningful volunteer and civic action. Committed to inspire, equip and mobilize people to take action that changes the world, HandsOn SEGA convenes a support network of partners including volunteers, corporate citizens, educational institutions, faith-based groups, government allies, nonprofit agencies and community-based organizations to improve lives and meet critical needs. Founded as Hands On Ogeechee in August of 2005 to serve as the regional volunteer and civic action center and a Hands On Georgia affiliate, HandsOn Southeast Georgia is part of a civic movement led by HandsOn Network, an enterprise of Points of Light Institute.  HandsOn SEGA is based in Statesboro, Georgia to serve predominantly rural communities in the region; the grassroots resource center primarily connects volunteers to the causes they believe in and puts everyday people in touch with their potential to be the change and make a difference.
